The trips you can only find on small sites
Whole categories of travel never reach the big engines — not because they are unsafe, but because they are unprofitable to list.
Large platforms need inventory that fits a template: a room with a nightly rate, a tour with a fixed departure. Anything that resists the template stays invisible, however good it is.
Inventory that is too small to bother with
A campsite with nine pitches, a workshop with four benches, an island guesthouse with two rooms. The commission on a good year would not cover the onboarding call.
Trips that depend on conditions
River expeditions scheduled against water levels, surf camps sold on a swell window, stargazing nights that move with the moon. Fixed-calendar systems simply cannot represent them.
Things that are not really accommodation or tours
A week learning to throw pots, a night in a bothy with an estate permission, a homestay where the point is the kitchen. Specialist marketplaces build the booking flow around the thing itself.
